BIO
Gabby is a ceramic artist and instructor from Utah. She has been doing ceramics since she was 4 years old and has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in ceramics, as well as minors in sculpture and art history. Gabby is inspired by artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe, Hitomi Hosono, and Ogawa Machiko. She is enamored with the tactile experience of the ceramic medium and is inspired by the process of creating a form or vessel and how it can be explored. She hopes to teach others the joys of creating while continuing her own artistic practice.

Artist Statement
I am interested in portraying structures and textures found in nature. Particularly bones and shells. I hope my work can inspire a dialog around death and grief. To celebrate the lived experiences we share and the lives of people and creatures who are gone but continue to impact and create beauty in our lives.
Artistic Goals
I am committed to creating and learning new aspects of not only ceramics and pottery but craft in general.
